Theater Oostpool and TEC Entertainment join forces for a special, brand-new homegrown theater show. ALETTA the musical tells the improbable life story of a key figure in the international women’s emancipation movement: Aletta Jacobs. A girl from Sappemeer in Groningen who fought for equality her entire life and grew into a world-famous icon.

In a full-length comedy musical, the audience is taken on a journey through the eventful life of Aletta Jacobs. A woman who was so far ahead of her time that she simply did not understand the limitations imposed upon her. Her delightful lack of respect for the established order makes for a story that is as passionate as it is witty.
