Portret
Tjitske Reidinga wanted to create something sweet, something funny, something magical. That’s why she wrote the show that she would go to herself. And luckily she’s going herself, because if you need anything for your own One Woman Show, it’s yourself.
But what is yourself, actually? How do you see yourself? Why is that sometimes so different from how others see you? And why are you sometimes interrupted by your phone in the middle of a philosophical train of thought about who you want to be, or maybe even already are, because you have to pay a tikkie? These and many other questions will be asked in Tjitske’s poetic show full of dryly comic situations, uncomfortable thoughts and Tjitske’s favourite imaginative music. A nice, moving theatre experience that gives you something. The feeling that you are not alone, for example. Or a place where you can go if you want to see something nice without it being difficult or heartbreaking.
Portret is an ode to the theatre and the small life. About the power and protection of the fantasy. Being able to be and think about anything and how liberating that is.
