Story
Hij Gelooft In Mij is a sincere, witty and poignant musical story about the real person behind the popular singer/songwriter André Hazes, his relationship with his wife Rachel and Amsterdam. His most famous songs illustrate his success and downfall. A story seen through the eyes of Rachel van Galen, a fifteen year old girl who falls in love with the great Hazes and marries her idol. Does She love the man or of his talent?
The script is written by Frank Ketelaar (screenwriter of amongst others the successful VARA series Adultery) and Kees Prins (screenwriter of a.o.Jiskefet). The musical is directed by Ruut Weissman (former artistic director of the Amsterdam Theatre & Kleinkunstacademie).
